Development of a unique customised polypropylene oxygen barrier packaging for seafood LongLife™, which receives a Scanstar and at the end of the year a WorldStar 2013-2014. All packs are suitable for high temperatures, autoclaving and hot filling. The oxygen barrier solution ensures an almost non-existent oxygen transmission rate and ambient shelf life up to two or even three years. The oxygen barrier can become an integrated part of your preferred packaging shape, size and lid and the solution fits practically any type of food.
At Interpack Superfos is being honoured with the WorldStar for 2014 for the customised, unique polypropylene oxygen barrier packaging called LongLife™ for seafood. During the same days Danish supermarket chain, Coop, awards its Green Idea Prize 2013 to Bornholms for its new plastic packaging for cod roe. This is a customised solution especially developed by Superfos. Also a bespoke version of the SuperLock® pack with oxygen barrier, used for sliced salami, receives an Award for Design Excellence 2014 by the Norwegian Design Council.
