All-electric machines improve production and environment

RPC Superfos puts an increasing number of all-electric machines into operation. They enable us to keep producing top quality injection moulding packaging for international customers – and they also entail environmental benefits.

Faster, better, more precise and energy-efficient. Our customers want it that way, and their customers, too.  Most recently, we have therefore invested in four all-electric machines for producing high-end injection moulded plastic packaging at our facility in Wetteren, Belgium. More and more facilities in the RPC Superfos division use all-electric machines.

The all-electric machines perform extremely well ensuring that the output - each of our customers’ packs - are all of the exact same high quality. For instance, the shot weight is practically invariable, as it is now below 0.10 per cent in difference between 10 shots.

All-electric is environmentally friendly
The new all-electric machines have efficient drive systems and use 65 per cent less energy than a full hydraulic machine. Another benefit is that the need for oil cooling and air conditioning has been significantly reduced.

So besides improving the production quality, the all-electric machines have a positive effect on the energy consumption and the environment. Also the working environment at the facilities has become better, thanks to a much lower heat and noise level.
