Pet food owners are increasingly savvy about what they are feeding their pets and Essential Foods, Denmark, experiences astonishing sales, growth and interest in their new first class dry dog and cat food.
The company has developed BOF, Behavioural Optimizing Foods, concentrating on the link between nutrition and behaviour. Christian Degner-Elsner, CEO and founder of the company Essential Foods, explains:
“Our conception of pet food and the impact it has on a pet’s life distinguishes us from our competitors. We are the first to work on pet nutrition that will keep the canine sugar level stable all day.”
Correctly stored in Hobbock
The dry BOF pellets come in bags and are sold to retailers, breeders and pet owners. For perfect storage, Essential Foods offers a plastic container: The sturdy Hobbock pail from RPC Superfos. The storage container is 100 per cent airtight. Wide and deep grips make it convenient to carry.
“Our pellets must ideally be stored in a dry and cool place – and in an airtight storage container. Stored in the Hobbock pail, the last meal from a 12.5 kg bag tastes just as good as the first,” Christian Degner-Elsner says.
Solid, functional and long-lasting
“We wanted a storage container that was sturdy enough to withstand some tough handling, as the pail is distributed all over Europe through parcel service companies. To us it is imperative that the pail reaches the pet owner in an impeccable condition. The Hobbock solution matches our expectations and we are very happy with it,” Christian Degner-Elsner says.
The pail including the grip is racing green – the signature colour of Essential Foods – and the look is elegant and uncluttered. The pail is made of polypropylene that can be reused, recycled or disposed of in an environmentally friendly way. This aspect matters to him as well:
“Hobbock is a solid bucket that practically can last forever. In this way it is a sustainable solution and in line with our brand values.”
“We want to offer an outstanding customer experience in any aspect of our brand. The Hobbock pail from RPC Superfos follows those high quality standards.”
We-can-do-attitude
Based on massive experience in the pet food business, Essential Foods was established only a couple of years ago and with much success in a short time, the company’s products are today sold across Europe. The positive impact of the pet food spreads by word of mouth and through social media.
Essential Foods has enjoyed working with RPC Superfos on the pail project. Christian Degner-Elsner describes it this way:
“Working with RPC Superfos has been a brilliant experience. All through the process, their team has demonstrated a clear we-can-do attitude that leads to absolutely pleasant business relations.”
