Now packed in the innovative container SuperLock, a selection of gourmet snacks branded ‘On the Road’ makes it is easier than ever to keep the energy level high at all times of the day. Consumers have received the range of nuts very well and the Danish snack company Snackfoods relates part of the success to the packaging.
Great sales
Earlier this year Snackfoods found that the time was ripe for a new packaging when the company was about to launch the gourmet snacks. Buckets and bags were replaced with SuperLock, and sales took off.
“Our product is a sales success and the packaging is definitely a part of the reason why we’re doing so well. The sales have continued to be great even after the campaign period. In my view it’s nothing special to bring a new product to the market and sell great during a campaign; the challenge is to keep on selling after the launch. We have done so, and are very happy about it,” says managing director Jens Kjeldskov from Snackfoods.
Tins or SuperLock?
In the process of reconsidering a new packaging, Snackfoods thought of opting for tins but at the end of the day, Snackfoods chose SuperLock. Why? Because it looks better and because it is a cost efficient solution. These are the main reasons in the eyes of Jens Kjeldskov, but he also appreciates that the consumers easily can open and re-close the container.
Jens Kjeldskov makes another point:
“The mixed nuts are very well presented in Superlock. We are absolutely pleased with the way our product is exposed to consumers on shelf in the stores. SuperLock signals something special and this matches our gourmet snacks.”
Snackfoods has chosen to package their gourmet snacks in six varieties in SuperLock ø 95 mm 400 ml. SuperLock has a very low oxygen transmission rate and offers long shelf life. It comes with a twist-off lid and provides for practically endless decoration options. Gourmet snacks - On the road can be found in convenience stores and at petrol stations.
