Superfos has helped develop a new plastic packaging for a range of sauces from hot and spicy to a classic sauce for French fries. Until now most sauces were sold mainly in round buckets. Today, Remia uses a square customised solution from Superfos in various sizes: 200ml, 280 ml, 400ml, 600ml and 1L.
Better taste with membrane sealing
One of the benefits of the new packaging is the membrane sealing, prolonging the shelf life of the sauce - but this is not all. Remia’s Senior Product Manager Retail Marcos Garcia Moral says:
“The seal provides for tamper evidence. This offers the consumer security by making it 100 per cent obvious that no one has opened the packaging on the shelf. It is also a benefit for the taste according to our laboratory tests.”
Size, shape and aesthetics
At the moment of selecting goods at the supermarket consumers tend to make a quick choice. Therefore the right size at the right price is of the essence. In the new range of sizes and with a nicer and smoother shape Remia reinforces its market position for French fries sauce.
In terms of logistics the shape also has a great positive impact because more square units fit in a confined container compared to round packaging units. The French fries sauces were re-launched recently.
Superfos and Remia have a long standing business relationship. Marcos Garcia Moral considers it highly satisfactory and adds:
“The new packaging is a step forward and as we always strive for the best solutions we are very pleased with the improvements.”
