After having secured a solid success for more than fifty years on the Spanish paint market, Akzo Spain realised that it was time for a change to keep the lead. The new business direction included a packaging solution made of plastic, replacing the prior one of metal.

Akzo Spain opted for the Paintainer® range from RPC Superfos and is presently using the 1 litre paint container in their fast speed filling line for premium brands such as Bruguer and Procolor. According to Akzo Spain, the Paintainer® range is able to meet both the current and future packaging needs, as the range encompasses a large choice of volumes and many fabulous finishing options through in-mould labelling with lacquer. The conversion to plastic has actually spiffed up the look of various paint products.

Effective closing system
Paintainer® – which is a multi-award winning plastic container for paint – is very user friendly. Painters can open and close the container without the use of any tool and it makes a reassuring click-sound when you close it. At the paint producers’ filling line, this click-sound also adds values, because it makes the production quality control easier.
