LongLife™ with oxygen barrier protection is a new plastic pack for wet pet food, which has been selected for display at the PACK INNOVATION area of Emballage. See for yourself why a customised pack for seafood was recognised with a World Star 2014 as well as a Green Idea Prize 2013. It makes seafood stay fresh for up to two years under ambient temperatures.
For its originality and great user-friendliness, a bespoke version of the SuperLock® pot for sliced salami has been honoured with a ScanStar 2014 and an Award for Design Excellence 2014 issued by the Norwegian Design Council. Further, we have our HalfMoon™ pack on display, which received a ScanStar 2014 in the category Promotional Packaging (for pet food pellets). The HalfMoon™ pail has a very distinctive shape that not only gives ergonomic benefits, but also fabulous display options.
Laurent Morel, Regional Sales Director of RPC Superfos Region French, and his trade fair team look forward to going into more detail with the showcased packaging solutions. He says:
“We are very proud to have such an excellent selection of officially recognised packs to show to our customers and potential customers at Emballage 2014. Part of the honour falls to them; thanks to a great cooperation with our customers are we able to win prizes and recognition.”
Oxygen barrier protection gives long shelf life
The advanced technology that we use to give plastic packaging a premium oxygen barrier protection – such as the SuperLock® pot – makes our solutions a real alternative to other more traditional types of food packaging. The SuperLock® pot offers many end-user advantages and gives a many types of convenience food a shelf life for of up to two or even three years. The barrier properties can also be applied for bigger volumes and other series as for instance the SuperLift® and SuperFlex® pails. They are highly suitable for packing bulk sized food products sold to the food service industry.
Pack with a spoon in the lid
Among other highlights from RPC Superfos at Emballage 2014 is the new stylish pack EasySnacking™ with a convenient spoon in the lid. It is ideal for dairy products and in tune with the growing demand for easy meals on the go.
Plastic that looks like metal
Especially for producers of building materials, adhesives, paint and other related products, we also exhibit samples of Paintainer® plastic pails with metallic effect. These pails have a glossy and glittering look and at the same time provide all the benefits of plastic including light weight, great stackability and low noise at the filling line.
This metallic look is a strong example of a packaging solution that has a positive impact on our customers’ sales figures.
“We aim for our products and services to help boost the business of our customers. Thanks to our visionary customers and our ability to innovate together with them, we are able to fulfil this goal,” says Laurent Morel.
