Dairy crown jewel now well-protected
Europe’s leading dairy producer Arla Foods has chosen Superfos to supply the new packaging solution for its popular Lurpak® Spreadable and Lurpak® Lighter Spreadable.
Prior to switching to Superfos customised packaging, the Lurpak® Spreadable products were packed in a thermoformed packaging. The new choice for packaging is a PP solution with paper labelling providing a much better silvery look than the thermoformed packs.
Quality design
International Packaging Development Manager Klaus Nybro, Arla Foods, says:
“The new solution with paper labelling prevents light including UV-light from shining through the packaging on the supermarket shelves. Furthermore, the print and the paper labelling are of premium quality.” He continues:
“The key issue for us is always to identify the right type of packaging to protect the product. However, the right choice of packaging is also part of our climate strategy. So the Lurpak® Spreadable packaging solution is also a sustainable choice that lives up to our environmental considerations.”
Made in Denmark
100 million tubs of Lurpak® Spreadable and Lurpak® Lighter Spreadable are produced annually and sold in 20 markets worldwide. All Lurpak products are required to be produced in Denmark using Danish cream to ensure the highest possible product quality.
