AkzoNobel, Henkel, DuPont and other major multinational chemical companies are collaborating under the initiative Together for Sustainability (TfS), a stellar example of industry collaboration for sustainable supply chains. The purpose of TfS is to assess, audit and improve the sustainability performance of their suppliers – among them RPC Group and RPC Superfos.
Silver Recognition 2019
RPC Group − including RPC Superfos − is a supplier of strong, sturdy and safe packaging solutions to the chemical industry. Now, for the second time in a row, RPC Group has been granted a Corporate Social Responsibility rating of Silver Recognition Level 2019 following TfS online and on-site audits.
The evaluated sections concern Environment, Labour Practices, Fair Business Practices and Sustainable Procurement and the recent results show that that RPC Group in most sections obtains a score which is above average.
Katherine Fleet, RPC Group Sustainability Manager, says:
“We are pleased to see that our overall score 2019 has increased since 2017, mainly due to improvement in scoring for the sections ‘Labour & Human Rights’ and for ‘Sustainable Procurement’. Maintaining a Silver Recognition is splendid, and we will of course continue to put effort into the fields of sustainability and corporate social responsibility, as these are high priorities at RPC Group and RPC Superfos.”
Together for Sustainability
The Tfs initiative was launched in 2011 and today, the number of member companies is 23. These share results of the suppliers’ sustainability performance with a view to improving efficiency for all involved.
