The important role that plastics plays in the circular economy will be the central theme of Berry Global’s stand (W60) at this year’s Responsible Packaging Expo, which is being held at Excel London on 15 and 16 October.
Here, Berry will present both standard and bespoke circular solutions that help food, foodservice, and beverage companies meet their sustainability goals. Jamie Riley, Sustainability Manager at Berry Global CPI, says:
“Resource-efficient packaging is a major requirement for our customers in the food and beverage sector, but great packaging solutions also still have to meet the highest levels of performance in terms of protection, convenience, and aesthetics.”
“Our stand at the Responsible Packaging Expo will demonstrate how we optimise the design process, incorporating elements such as reusability, recyclability, and lightweighting whilst still offering our customers the opportunity to make their brand stand out with high-quality packaging solutions.”
Recycled polypropylene for food products
At the Berry stand, you can discover how bespoke packaging solutions made from recycled polypropylene (rPP) can be utilised for your food products. Berry’s circular material options and ISCC PLUS certification ensure credible claims and traceability.
You can opt for rPP for most of our bestselling containers and pots. This means rPP is available as a packaging option for almost any food product in a wide variety of sizes and shapes.
Reusable cups for cold and hot drinks, and soups
You can also experience Berry’s range of reusable cups, available in several sizes for both and hot cold drinks, and soups, to meet increasing demand for alternative solutions to single-use packaging.
The cups are ideal for both on-site and takeaway requirements, and combine reusability with a premium quality feel and high-impact branding opportunities. Despite their durability, the cups are lightweight and can be recycled when they finally reach their end of life, where appropriate recycling facilities exist.
In addition, the Berry Cup Range has been designed to offer brands full customisation opportunities to further elevate the customer experience, while an RFID chip or QR code can be incorporated to provide additional customer engagement.
CleanStream® – for more recycled plastic
You can also come to the Berry stand to learn more about CleanStream® – Berry’s proprietary, world-leading process, which identifies and separates food use items from mixed domestic collections to produce mechanically recycled, contact-sensitive, recycled plastic at scale. This process will make more recycled plastic for food and beverage products available to you and other Berry Superfos customers.
According to an in-depth life-cycle analysis by Quantis*, packaging made with CleanStream® recycled material has around 35% lower carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions than virgin plastic – a reduction of about 36,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually.
See you at stand W60
Our team looks forward to meeting you at the Responsible Packaging Expo and discussing how our pioneering solutions can support your sustainability goals.
