BRC: are you looking for Global Standards?

A fresh BRC Certificate was recently issued to Superfos Blackburn, UK, showing Grade AA in the Packaging Category High Hygiene. International certificates make it easier for you to assess the quality of your packaging provider.

Superfos Blackburn UK, has achieved an AA grade for the new BRC Global Standard 2015, High Hygiene Category, Issue 5. This external audit covers rigid plastics and print processes, and the Certificate documents that the processing activities at Superfos Blackburn meet the BRC Global Standards (British Retail Consortium). It chronicles the packaging standard and best practice regarding product specifications, supplier approval, traceability management of incidents and product recalls. 

Important for food producers’ own production
Andy Bloor, Regional Directory, Superfos UK Region, explains:

Understandably, it is much easier to assess the quality of your packaging provider when certificates in the fields of management systems, hygiene, quality, energy and environment are available.”

Up-to-date on certificates
In addition, a Management System Certificate has been re-issued to  Superfos Blackburn for a further three-year period; the ISO 9001:2015, which is the most recent version of the ISO standard.  

With the newly issued BRC certificate, most Superfos facilities are now BRC certified. Next in line Superfos Winchester US and Superfos Gračanica, Bosnia & Herzegovina, plan to get ready for a first BRC audit in the second half of 2017.
