Polish praise for health & safety standards

In a national Polish competition that promotes systematic improvements of health and safety, the RPC Superfos facility in Lubien, Poland, performed very well.

At the end of 2015, the RPC Superfos facility in Lubien, Poland, won a third place for executing plans for increasing safety at work within the scope of a national Polish Health and Safety competition. It was organised by the Polish National Labour Law Inspection.

Tomasz Przygodzki, Factory Manager at RPC Superfos Lubien, is proud of the result, but at the same time, he stresses that the management team simply follows the health and safety standards of the RPC Group:

“The health and safety of our employees is the number one priority at all RPC sites and an honourable third place in the Polish Health and Safety competition is very rewarding. Everyone must pay attention to health and safety issues on a day-to-day basis.”

All RPC sites seek to raise the bar on safety standards. The production facilities are regularly evaluated against industry-wide best practices of risk management.

“We have entered the competition with much enthusiasm. However to us, health and safety is not a one-off event. Strong health and safety management contributes to increased productivity performance that enables us to be a reliable and dedicated packaging provider both in the short and in the long run. Further, a dedicated safety culture is also a key factor for attracting qualified candidates for our job openings,” says Tomasz Przygodzki.

The Polish National Labour Law Inspection organises a yearly competition to increase awareness of health and safety issues at production sites and to endorse employers that make an effort in the area. The third place was achieved in the category +250 employees, in which 12 workplaces were competing in the final round.
