Two days full of inspirational packaging solutions are just around the corner at the trade fair Packaging Innovations 2016 Birmingham NEC from 24 to 25 February. Together with the RPC Group, RPC Superfos will be showcasing a diverse range of highly functional packaging lines and bespoke solutions. We cordially invite you to drop by at stand D40 and get some ideas for your next packaging purchase decision.
Award-winning dessert pot with release mechanism
Sean Dyer, Regional Sales Director, RPC Superfos UK Region, highlights a bespoke dessert pot as an example of our innovative products. It has been honoured with a WorldStar 2016.
The dessert pot features a special release mechanism that makes it possible to serve decorative pudding and sauce on a plate within seconds. When opened and squeezed at the bottom the pot breaks in three places and, as the air enters, the pudding and the fruit sauce gently come out.
“On behalf of the Finnish dairy producer Valio Ltd., we have developed this dessert packing solution and we are very proud of the WorldStar award. Of course, samples will be on display at our stand,” Sean Dyer says.
EasySnacking has the spoon in the lid
Another striking pack for the food industry is EasySnacking™, an award-winning pot which has also been shortlisted for UK Packaging Awards. The injection moulded EasySnacking™ solution is ideal for quick meals on the go, particularly because of the integral spoon which is secured inside the lid and very easy to grasp.
“We have experienced an increased demand for handy and good-looking packaging for eating on-the-go. Our pack enhances the end user experience for a variety of foods such as dairy products, seafood and ice cream. There are lots of applications: food producers are most welcome to discuss their requirements with us,” Sean Dyer says.
Long shelf life under ambient temperatures
For a wide range of convenience food, the SuperLock® pot with an advanced oxygen barrier technology renders a two-year shelf life under ambient temperatures. Further, the pot is very user-friendly - samples will be available at our stand, so you can try out the practical click-on screw-lid that makes a recognisable click sound when closed correctly.
Check out our options for non-food
For the building industry, our RPC Superfos range includes versatile and robust solutions. Our containers are strong, easy to stack and user-friendly for both professional and DIY purposes. Sizes span consumer and industrial use and you can choose from many different shapes: square, rectangular, cylindrical or round conical. Our non-food product line is comprehensive.
The Paintainer® pail is a firm favourite with paint producers. Thanks to an advanced In-Mould Labelling technique, it is possible to give the pail a luxurious metallic look, or apply appealing creative artwork. All illustrations, photos and graphic details are reproduced in razor-sharp quality.
Finalist for Sustainable Innovation Award
Developed on the Paintainer® design base, a new and different version of the pail incorporates 25 per cent post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics. It is the first and, to date, only example in the UK of a plastic container for paint that incorporates such a high level of PCR material. Recognising this, The British Coating Federation nominated the container for its 2015 Sustainable Innovation Award.
“This Paintainer® solution with PCR material is special because strength and stability were not compromised in any way. It has required considerable time, knowledge and determination to reach 25 per cent inclusion of PCR plastic, and evidently we take much pride in reaching the finals for the BCF Sustainable Innovation Award,” comments Mark Seddon, International Key Accounts Director for Surface Coatings, RPC Superfos UK Region.
Packaging Innovations 2016 is not to be missed - the future packaging of your branded goods may well be on display at stand D40. We look forward to seeing you in Birmingham.
