New size, new quality, new shape. These developments in our plastic packaging are among the news you can find at Cfia Rennes 2014, the annual trade fair for the professionals of the food industry and their suppliers. Together with the trade fair team, Regional Sales Director at RPC Superfos, Laurent Morel, is looking forward to showing innovative packaging solutions to all visitors at the trade fair in France.
New half-moon shape
This year, there is a chance to take a closer look at a new oval container, shaped like a half moon. Laurent Morel explains:
“This original packaging solution has a special shape that makes it distinctive on shelf. As two half-moon containers put together make up for one round container, we keep all the logistical advantages in respect of stackability, transportation and optimal use of warehouse space.”
SuperLock® comes in new sizes
The multi-award winning SuperLock® pot, a solution which offers extremely low oxygen transmission rates, will also be on display, now in a new diameter, namely 109 mm for both 215 ml and 525 ml. So now you can chose between nine different volumes under lid in a range of three different diameters: two with Ø69mm, five with Ø95mm and the two new ones with Ø109 mm. If you have another particular packaging size in mind for your food product, Cfia Rennes is the perfect opportunity to let us know.
RingLock now in optimised quality
For products in small quantities such as dips and sauces, the RingLock® pot is a superb solution; it is small robust and convenient. It comes in 10 different sizes, has tamper evidence and withstands hot filling just as well as blast freezing. Now, RPC Superfos has just marketed an additional base for RingLock (No. 317) which has been optimised thanks to a weight reduction. Come along and let us show it to you.
Hypermarkets appreciate SuperLight®
More and more hypermarkets in France have discovered the benefits of the SuperLight® pot, ideal for dairy products, salads, sauces and yellow fats and use this packaging solution for their private label sour cream. Matching the increased popularity of the pot, we have developed three new sizes for SuperLight® which we will showcase at our stand at Cfia. Laurent Morel says:
“The SuperLight® solution is a TWP (thin wall packaging) pot and can be beautifully decorated using in-mould labelling. It is stable at the filling line despite its very thin structure and light weight - in any respect this is a strong solution, also concerning excellent brand display.”
Considering conversion from metal to plastic?
At our stand you will also find samples of a bespoke packaging with the special oxygen barrier which RPC Superfos developed for the Scandinavian Seafood producer Bornholms. The unique oxygen barrier pack made Bornholms carry out a significant conversion process from metal cans to plastic and was honoured with a WorldStar 2013-2014. If you consider a similar swap, let us get together to discuss how RPC Superfos can accommodate your packaging needs.
In any event, Laurent Morel and his team cordially invite you to visit our stand Hall 4 Stand A31/B36, the section Packing & Conditioning. A bientôt.
