At this year’s CFIA show in Toulouse, you can explore Berry’s latest circular and resource-efficient packaging advancements, designed to help your business reduce costs, improve efficiency, and meet environmental targets. Taking place at the MEETT Toulouse Exhibition and Convention Centre, in the heart of France’s renowned culinary hub, the event offers a chance for you to find practical packaging solutions tailored to the needs of the food processing industry.
Get ready for extended producer responsibility for packaging
Berry is committed to advancing a circular economy and supporting our customers in meeting the upcoming extended producer responsibility requirements, set to take effect in 2025.
Nicolas Le Saux, Area Sales Manager, France, says: “We’re eager to meet you at CFIA in Toulouse to share our latest packaging solutions, which address extended producer responsibility by being lighter, mono-material, recyclable*, and made from recycled materials. These solutions will help you achieve your business goals."
Containers made with rPP or renewable materials
You can explore injection-moulded and thermoformed packaging options at the Berry stand to support your shift to circular packaging models. For example, Berry offers a range of food packaging solutions using recycled polypropylene (rPP) or renewable materials certified under ISCC PLUS. These solutions maintain the same strength and appeal as those made from virgin plastics, making it easier for your business to adopt solutions that use fewer virgin resources.
Mono-material, detectable black colourant and light weight
Berry provides mono-material packaging solutions to enhance recyclability. For example, we are replacing metal handles with fully plastic alternatives for our large industrial containers, aligning them with smaller volumes, which already feature plastic handles.
If you want black packaging, Berry offers non-carbon black. Unlike traditional black colourants, non-carbon black can be detected by near-Infrared (NIR) scanners used in waste sorting systems. This innovation ensures that your packaging has a higher chance of being recycled*, reducing the likelihood of it ending up in energy recovery or landfills.
Further, weight reduction is an effective way to improve packaging efficiency, and many of Berry’s series are specifically designed with this goal in mind.
Reusable cups: A fresh approach to beverage packaging
As part of our commitment to responsible packaging, we also innovate in reusable beer and soft drink cups. For example, the Berry Reusable Cup Range features high-quality, lightweight cups for hot and cold beverages. They are easy to recycle, the design is elegant, and they offer a perfect canvas for your product branding.
Solutions to prevent food waste
Reducing food waste is central to responsible food packaging. Visit the Berry stand to discover how our advanced packaging, featuring oxygen barrier technology, helps extend oxygen-sensitive products' freshness and shelf life. This is particularly valuable for maintaining product quality while reducing spoilage and waste.
Visit us at stand F130 for inspiring conversations about how our innovative packaging solutions can help your business meet today’s challenges. See you in Toulouse!
* Recyclability will depend on the availability of recycling infrastructure in the region of disposal.
