BRC/IoP: New certification for facility in Spain

With a recently obtained certificate in Spain, all Superfos facilities are now both ISO 9001 and BRC/IoP certified.

Quality control, safety and top hygiene standards are key issues for us and our customers in the food industry. We are pleased to announce that our facility in Spain has now received a BRC/IoP certification.

This means that today all of our facilities spread over Europe meet the standards of ISO 9001 as well as those of BRC/IoP (British Retail Consortium, cooperating with Institute of Packaging).

Sets a benchmark for best practice
Sales Director Iberia, Ignacio Igea from Superfos, says:

At the RPC Superfos facility in Pamplona we fully meet this demand; now also with an official certification from BRC/IoP adding further to the ISO 9001 certification which we have held consecutively since 2008. From the ISO 9000 series we hold certification since 1996.”

The BRC/IoP standard is issued by an independent certification institute and divided into six chapters, one of them being about Food Safety and Quality Management. In this particular connection, the certification sets a benchmark for best practice regarding product specifications, supplier approval, traceability, and the management of incidents and product recalls.

Our facility in Poland recently became ISO 14001 certified for environmental management. All in all, the recent certifications obtained further underline that you are guaranteed the strictest quality, hygiene and environmental standards for packaging with Superfos as your trusted partner.
