Current cooking trends in Germany point towards tradition. While the everyday life may be hectic, more and more importance is nevertheless attached to cosy domesticity and traditional recipes. Tradition in Northern Germany has it that fish, meat or potatoes must be accompanied by certain hearty dips. And when time is sparse, it is good to know that Elsdorfer Feinkost has launched a new range of fresh quality dips available at the supermarket.
The packaging signals “homemade”
The packaging for the range of four different hearty dips is the cleverly designed UniPak pot that comes with a liquid-tight snap-on lid. Both lid and body are made of transparent plastic. Purchasing Manager Rüdiger Schnabel from Elsdorfer Feinkost AG says:
“We wanted the packaging to reflect traditional home cooking and freshness. With the transparent UniPak pot we have achieved this. Our products are carefully made with the best ingredients only and without added preservatives or artificial colouring. The packaging must match this natural quality of the dips – and UniPak does.”
The pots are decorated with handwriting in clear colours, one for each tempting variety: Garlic Dip with fresh cream and herbs; Cream Dip with apples and onions; Farmers Dip with ham and leek; Tartar Sauce with eggs and gherkins. Each of them ads an extra touch to the traditional dishes in Northern Germany. This decoration was not a random choice, as the handwriting on a transparent background supports the homemade style.
Robust and reliable performance
From a logistical point of view, Rüdiger Schnabel appreciates that the UniPak pots offer strength and stability. This means a robust and reliable performance. At the filling line, UniPak withstands both hot filling and blast freezing and during transport, a protective collar safeguards the lid and improves the stability of the pot.
Elsdorfer Feinkost only employs various kinds of plastic packaging for their quality food products. The company is based in Northern Germany and can boast of more than 100 years of food tradition.
