Colour trends come and colour trends go and, with the changing times, Ireland’s largest 100 per cent Irish-owned paint company Colourtrend has now moved on to a new look for their decorative paint range. The Irish landscape and its natural colours provide the backdrop of their colour range and new advertising campaign as well as the new tagline: “Infinite colour from Ireland”.
The paint range from Colourtrend provides superior coverage and washability, and is sold in both metal cans and plastic buckets to accommodate the different packaging requirements of the market. In terms of the plastic packs, RPC Superfos has been a long-term packaging provider.
Did a great job
While the major rebrand has required a new look, Colourtrend decided to keep using the 10 litres S-range containers from RPC Superfos. Wendy Shaw, Marketing Executive at Colourtrend, explains:
“We have changed the artwork, but kept the bucket, because it is user-friendly and has a lot of positive qualities. The In-Mould labelling technique ensures a brilliant look for our products, including our new logo and maker’s marque.”
“RPC Superfos did a great job in coordinating the production of our buckets with our plans for the relaunch and smoothly facilitated delivery with the timeline of our filling process. The RPC Superfos team has worked impeccably for Colourtrend over so many years and the new 10 litres containers really look great,” she adds.
Zest for the Irish
For the relaunch, Colourtrend is running an advertising campaign on radio, TV and online. The adverts include an evocative voice-over by Fiona Shaw, one of Ireland’s most internationally famous actresses.
Colourtrend was established over 60 years ago in Kildare, Ireland. Their collections are available through a network of over 140 carefully selected paint retailers in Ireland and the UK. The company only sells its paint through select independent stockists.
