Innovative both in terms of marketing and sustainability, the Greek producer and distributor of paint, Berling S.A. was thrilled to discover the nice look and easy opening of the packaging solutions SuperFlex and Paintainer.
Sleek looks match a superior product
For their new product sold under the brand Tulip, Berling decided to create an innovative and very beautiful label in sparkling colours with a metallic effect.
Marketing Manager Thalia Konstantinidi from Berling explains:
"We decided to use the packaging from Superfos mainly because we like the shape of it and the metallic effect of the label. It has an amazing visual effect and is very different from the packaging used by our competitors. Another key benefit is that the product can be placed as a superior product thanks to its packaging.”
First mover and bestseller
Berling is one of the biggest paint industries in Greece. The Tulip series include emulsion paint, acrylic Facade paint and waterborne enamel. Despite the hard competition Berling has significantly increased its market share thanks to its high quality products and efficient marketing and promotion techniques.
Berling is the first company in Greece to have used TV and radio to promote their product in Greece. Berling was also the first paint company to be certified with an Eco Label for paint.
Now, Berling is the also a first mover when it comes to launch paint in plastic packaging with a metallic effect obtained through the IML technique. The market has reacted very positively to the new packaging and Tulip is now one of Berling’s bestsellers.
Good cooperation
Berling S.A. met Superfos in Athens during the Colour & Decoration trade show in March last year. The paint producer is happy about the successful packaging solutions:
“We have a very good cooperation with Superfos, mainly through Expoint, their agent in Greece,” Thalia Konstantinidi concludes.
