In any major French supermarket you will find dairy products from the successful family run business Senoble. Part of their plus 1.1 billion euro turnover will now come from sales of private label sour cream and fromage frais in thin wall packaging from Superfos.

The family run business Senoble, which produces a range of popular dairy products for the European market, has selected the new packaging solution SuperLight™ from Superfos for its private label sour cream and fromage frais.

From thermoforming to injection moulding
“Senoble is very focused on innovation and quality, also in its choice of packaging. The dairy producer has now decided to shift from thermoforming to injection moulding for a part of their packaging for fromage frais and sour cream,” says Laurent Morel, Superfos’ Regional Sales Director in France.

Very strong, absolutely thin
“Our new thin wall packaging, SuperLight™, perfectly matches the needs of Senoble because they want to position themselves as an innovative company by providing new solutions to the supermarkets. The thin wall packaging SuperLight™ is ideal for supporting this objective. Through innovation we have made the containers and lids very strong yet absolutely thin. SuperLight™ has a strong dimensional reliability and is very stable at the filling line, on the shelf and at home,” he adds.

End-users benefit from the convincing qualities of SuperLight™: light weight, long shelf life and user-friendliness. Even though Superlight™ is thin, the strength of the container means also that it can be re-used for general household purposes multiple times after the original content has been savoured.

Looking good
For the food producer the options for decoration of Superlight™ are almost unlimited because it allows for in-mould-labelling. This gives a razor sharp graphic presentation and leaves room for creativity. Thereby private labels come to look fantastic on the shelves.

Thin, light and right for the climate
Another important aspect of thin wall packaging is the very light weight of the packaging. SuperLight™ is up to 30 per cent lighter than conventional packaging for sour cream and fromage frais which lessens the carbon footprint of the packaging.

Senoble has chosen the environmentally friendly packaging solution SuperLight™ in two sizes; ø 95mm 275 ml and ø 116mm 615 ml.
