New customised pack for marbled ice cream
The shape is unique and inviting. The artwork has an artistic touch and the base of the pack is transparent. This is the result of a packaging development project during which RPC Superfos assisted the Norwegian family owned ice cream producer Hennig Olsen Is with the creation of a bespoke pack.
Exclusive look
While Hennig Olsen Is already offers many types of quality ice cream for various segments, the company wanted to launch a new series that had to be different. This product is called Inspira and is ideal for those special moments when you deserve indulgence above average. Purchase Director Carl-Christian Langfeldt from Hennig Olsen Is explains:
“Inspira ice cream caters to the premium segment and here we need an exclusive look – a new and exciting packaging. We are absolutely happy with the result, not least because of the waves on the rim and the transparent base that makes it possible to see our marbled ice cream.”
Tradition & renewal
Hennig Olsen Is has worked with RPC Superfos for over 20 years and applies both some solutions from the regular assortment and customised packaging solutions. The pack for the Inspira ice cream is only one out of a handful bespoke packs created together with RPC Superfos.
“RPC Superfos excels in design development and we know where to go when we need skilled people who can give us a creative packaging result. They know how to combine tradition with renewal. We have had a brilliant cooperation on this project which was difficult due to a lot of time pressure,” Carl-Christian Langfeldt says.
The customised pack has in-mould labelling on all sides and on the base. The sealing is tamper proof. Inspira ice cream has not been on the market for long, but the positive results of a consumer survey indicate that both content and pack will be well received.
